The legal borrowing limit of $14.3 trillion… that’s TRILLION with a T that is needed in order to raise the debt ceiling that is absolutely necessary or the Federal Government will be out of money and unable to pay their bills. We, the public, must pay our own bills or else we find our homes foreclosed and our paychecks attached by those to whom we owe. And the Fed must pay their bills too, on time and in full. So what are the “heavy hitters” in Washington planning to do? They will, of course, simply raise the spending limits and perhaps also raise taxes here and there.
Vice President Joe Biden leads lawmakers in budget cut attempt
How and when at least one trillion dollars in budget cuts will happen is anybodies guess but VP Joe Biden wants it to happen and soon. As of August 2nd this country will be out of money. Unable to pay its employees or pay for many government assistance programs or anything else that is “carried” by the U.S. government. The plan is to initiate some huge budget cuts and this gets us into uncharted waters because never before have such enormous cuts been deemed necessary.
Budget cuts to be spread out over the next decade may not hurt as bad
If the first trillion dollars or so in budget cuts is spread out over the next ten years it will mean that approximately one hundred billion dollars less will be spent every year on such programs as those considered to be non security and discretionary amounts. This might include food inspectors, educational grants, the FBI, and many funds dealing with service programs and people associated with government employment.
White House may limit deductions America’s wealthiest can take
Now the U.S. Government has decided to limit those deductions taken by rich Americans. They already have a huge benefit simply by being wealthy and now we must expect less from them at tax time? We the people seem to think as if the one trillion dollars to be cut belongs to somebody else, anyone else but us.
