Facebook completes its sixth birthday this week. In six years, this social networking site has dwarfed every other social networking site in terms of both popularity and usage. Facebook wishes to remember this wonderful and memorable occasion and thus have decided make a few minor changes to its site as a treat to all its dedicated users. The minor yet detailed re-design of this social networking website is going to lure in more users and will surely increase the interest of the existing users, as promised by the organization. They are calling it a celebrity makeover and the changes are no secret to the users.

The changes, as they are being incorporated, include a redesign of the menu bar that is there on the top of the website. This modification will notify the users about any new messages or notifications at runtime and the user will be able to view them by clicking on the respective icons. This medication is worth mentioning as now you do not have to keep refreshing pages or change pages to view fresh notifications and messages. The users are also in for a treat because now the left hand side modified menu bar will contain various games and applications that will surely make your experience of Facebook more fun.

The left hand side pane containing the new games dashboard and application list will also keep a track of the most recently played game and also the application that you most recently used. It will also contain the most recently played games of your friends. This way you can also try them if you are interested. New counters are now there to help you with notifications about playing a particular turn in a game. These changes, though might seem small, will play a significant role in making this social networking site even more popular, as most believe.
