Online frauds have increased a lot with the job market becoming fragile. Most of the scams include an email telling you that you have won a lottery and you need to send in your personal details or bank account number. All these types of emails are using the phising technique to gather sensitive information from the recipients. Emails have become one of the most effective means of communications in the present world and thus these methods of fraudulent actions have now become quite common. However, due to public awareness and users becoming more internet-friendly some of these email frauds have lost their flair and is no longer successful.

However, new techniques of cheating the masses that use the internet have evolved with most of them relying on the present global job crisis scenario. The global economic crisis, which is creating more and more job loses is one of the main reasons why many are falling for these sophisticated frauds that are now attacking people. Emails that promise high paid employment are now one of the most common types of phising emails that people are receiving asking for their personal information, which might lead to identity threats.

The common content of these emails contain promises of job offers to candidates promising high pay, which might as high up as 100 pounds a day, however, the catch here is that either you will have to pay a registration fees to these consultancies which eventually do not exist.  Another plan that also works is that you have to give in your entire personal details so that the agency might verify your credentials for the job offer, which eventually leads to identity theft. Sometimes, the personal details that you give to these agencies, especially your banking details may turn you into a money launderer for criminal organizations without your knowledge.
